Galvanized pipe production process
Steel pipe preparation: Use high-quality ordinary steel pipes as the base material, which are usually manufactured using hot rolling or cold rolling processes. The size and thickness of the steel pipe can be adjusted as needed.
Galvanized pipe is a steel pipe that is coated with a layer of zinc on the surface of ordinary steel pipes to improve the corrosion resistance of the steel pipe and extend its service life. Its production process mainly includes the following steps:
1. Steel pipe preparation: Use high-quality ordinary steel pipes as the base material, which are usually manufactured using hot rolling or cold rolling processes. The size and thickness of the steel pipe can be adjusted as needed.
2. Pickling treatment: Pass the steel pipe through the pickling tank and use acidic solution for pickling treatment. Pickling can remove oxide scale, rust and other impurities on the surface of steel pipes to better bond with the zinc layer.
3. Dip treatment: Pass the pickled steel pipe through the dipping tank and soak it in the molten zinc liquid. The impregnation time and temperature need to be adjusted according to the size and requirements of the steel pipe. A uniform zinc layer will form on the surface of the impregnated steel pipe.
4. Cooling treatment: Pass the impregnated steel pipe through the cooling tank for cooling treatment. Cooling can make the zinc layer more evenly adhere to the surface of the steel pipe and improve the hardness and strength of the steel pipe.
5. Inspection and trimming: Conduct appearance inspection and dimensional measurement of the cooled galvanized pipe to ensure that the product quality meets the requirements. Defective or unqualified steel pipes need to be trimmed or removed.
6. Packaging and transportation: Galvanized pipes that have passed the inspection are packaged and clearly marked to facilitate transportation and storage.
It should be noted that the production process of galvanized pipes may vary according to different manufacturers and product requirements. The above steps are only a general introduction. In addition, for some galvanized pipes with special needs, other treatments may be required, such as surface coating or heat treatment.
